- European Blackjack is played with two regular decks consisting of 52 playing cards.
- Blackjack will always beat any hand adding up to a total of 21.
- Any face card for example:- Jacks, Kings and Queens, have a value of 10.
- Aces can either have the value of 1 or 11.
- You may draw up to nine cards after your initial hand, to make a hand of, a total eleven cards.
- The Dealer must stand on all hands adding up to the value of 17.
- If the Dealer's hand is bust if exceeds 21, and you automatically win.
- You get paid 3 to 2 odds for getting a hand of Blackjack.
- When you and the dealer's hand values add up to the same total, it's calles Push. Its a draw. You lose nothing and you win nothing.
- I both you and the Dealer have Blackjack, its Push.
If the dealer gets Blackjack then you lose you bet including what you Doubled Down.
- You can take insurance if the dealers starting hand is and ace. If the dealer gets Blackjack then you will be paid 2:1
- You can split two cards which have the same value, such as a pair of Kings or two Fives. Your hand is then split into two separate hands and the bet equivelent to your original bet will be places on the the new hand.
- Although a King and a 10 have the same value, they can not be split because they do not have the same denomination.
- Once you split a pair of aces, you can not get blackjack and it will be counted as 21.
- You can Split Aces in European Blackjack.
- You can Split a maximum of once per hand. This equals two hands.
- You can Double down, provided your hand has a value of 9, 10 or 11. Once you have Doubled down you automatically stand and can not draw another card.
- The Double Down equals your initial bet.
- You cannot Double Down after you have split cards.
- You can only Double Down once per hand.
- If the Dealer's first card is an Ace, you can take insurance.
- The Insurance bet is equal to half your original bet.
- Your Insurance bet wins or loses are independent from your original bet.
- Insurance is only taken on your original hand. You cannot take Insurance after a Hit, Split or Double Down Bet. In other words, you can only take Insurance when the Dealer has one card face-up and you have two cards dealt.
- If the Dealer does not have Blackjack, the Insurance bet will be removed from the table, and the cost of the Insurance bet is then deducted from your credit balance. The hand will then continue.
- If the Dealer has Blackjack, the Insurance bet is paid out at odds of 2:1.
