What is RSS?
RSS- “Really Simple Syndication” or I have also see it being called “Rich Site Summary”. It is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.
Why RSS?
Benefits and Reasons for using RSS
RSS solves the problem that regular internet users have of digging through tons of changing information, allowing you to easily stay informed by retrieving summaries of the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not having to visit each site individually to find out what’s new or what has changed since your last visit, keeping you up to date. You ensure your privacy, by not needing to join each site's email newsletter.
The number of sites offering RSS feeds have been growing rapidly and includes names like Yahoo News, BBC, CNN, Amazon.com and just about anything else you can think of. Since information about the best online casinos or online gambling sites and what they are offering in promotions or bonuses are ever changing and you undoubtedly have difficulty keeping your finger on the pulse. This is a easy and convenient method of reviewing latest happenings, easy and at a glance.
RSS Feed Readers and Aggregators.
Feed Reader or News Aggregator software allows you to “pull” the RSS feeds from various sites that you have subscribed, which can be added, edited or removed very easily by yourself, if you so wish, without necessitating any further action or a process on the web site you are receiving the RSS feed from. This to many is an extremely attractive alternative due to, the very real and extremely irritating risk of email abuse in the form of unsolicited email (Spam) when subscribing to an email newsletter. With RSS you only get to see what you actually want.
