This means that unlike European blackjack where the dealer has only one card at the start of the game, which means she cannot check for Blackjack. You would have had the opportunity to Double Down and then if the dealer had blackjack you would have lost.

With Multi Hand Atlantic City Blackjack the dealer is dealt two cards. The first one face up and the other face down. If the first card has the value of 10 or is an Ace then the dealer will check for Blackjack. Once the dealer has peaked and I turns out to be Blackjack then the game is automatically. This means that you have less chance to lose a large amount of money.
